Embodying Freedom: knowing the noble truths

  • Nottingham Buddhist Centre (map)

For people with at least one year of meditation experience, led by Balajit and Singhashri and offered in collaboration with the Nottingham Buddhist Centre.

The Buddha taught that there is suffering AND there is freedom. Together, we’ll explore these two truths and the conditions that give rise to them.

Through an embodied approach to our experiences of both suffering and its end, we’ll deepen into sensations that have the taster of freedom. These sensations guide us towards the freedom of awakening and the arising of the Bodhicitta - a deep, felt sense of compassion and interconnectedness with all of life.

The day will include input, meditation, enquiry, group exercises and discussion, movement, and ritual.
